Travis Scott shares his non-negotiables with the kids he shares with Kylie Jenner

Scott did not frame fatherhood as a softening experience

Travis Scott has built a career on intensity, imagination, and pushing sound into new territory. At 34, that same energy now shows up in a different place: parenting. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the rapper made it clear that when it comes to his kids, the rules are different. The days of reckless decision-making are over. His focus is sharp, intentional, and centered on being present for daughter Stormi, 7, and son Aire, 3.

Fatherhood, according to Scott, demands discipline. He explained that having children forces him to slow down and think long-term. There is no room for crashing out or living on impulse. Every move now weighs because little eyes are watching. The shift is not about losing creativity or freedom. It is about responsibility and legacy.

How Becoming a Dad Changed His Mindset

Scott did not frame fatherhood as a softening experience. Instead, he described it as a recalibration. His priorities are clearer, his decision-making more deliberate. Being a father means understanding consequences before acting, not after.

He shared that he cannot move the same way he once did. The presence of his kids adds a layer of accountability that did not exist before. That awareness shapes how he works, how he travels, and how he shows up emotionally.

This mindset also feeds directly into how he raises Stormi and Aire. Scott wants them to grow with curiosity, confidence, and structure. He sees fatherhood as an active role, not a passive one.

Kids Who Think Like Their Dad

One thing Scott noticed early on was how much his kids mirror his creative instincts. He said they are just like him when they lock into new ideas. Once something sparks their imagination, they dive in completely.

He recalled a moment that stuck with him while spending time with Aire. “My kids are just like me when it comes to trying to get off ideas,” he explained. “My son’s 3 now, about to be 4,” he continued. “I took him to the Disney Imagineering spot, and his mind was just going off when he seen the robots and all the new tech and how it’s built.” Aire absorbed everything around him, reacting with pure wonder and excitement.

For Scott, that moment was meaningful. It was not just about seeing his son entertained. It was about recognizing the raw curiosity that fuels innovation. He sees that same hunger for ideas in himself, now reflected through his kids.

Why Travis Scott Is Strict About AI at Home

Despite embracing technology in his career, Scott draws a firm boundary when it comes to artificial intelligence and his children. He said his kids do not use AI, and that decision is intentional.

His reasoning is rooted in development. “My kids don’t have AI,” he told Rolling Stone. “Having AI right now will compress their ability for their brain to maximize.”

He wants Stormi and Aire to learn the fundamentals first, the physical and mental processes behind understanding and problem-solving. “So they got to learn the physical and the actual way of learning, so then they know how to actually use AI to their best ability, because if it’s doing everything for you, how do you even know what’s right or wrong?” he added.

In his view, AI should be a tool, not a crutch. If technology does all the thinking, kids never learn how to question, evaluate, or recognize what is right or wrong. Scott’s approach is about timing. Master the basics first, then use advanced tools with purpose.

Bringing Stormi Onstage in Tokyo

Scott’s protective but proud energy as a father was on full display during a concert in Tokyo in November 2025. Fans were surprised when he brought Stormi onstage while performing his song “Thank God.”

Stormi appeared confident and joyful, wearing headphones, a graphic T-shirt, a fur coat, and brightly colored braided hair. She smiled and danced beside her dad, fully owning the moment. Scott even held the microphone up as she delivered her line from the track, drawing massive cheers from the crowd. "Storm's a minor, but you know she livin' major," she said, according to videos taken by fans.

The moment was playful but meaningful. It showed how Scott balances protection with empowerment. Stormi was safe, supported, and celebrated, all while sharing a piece of her father’s world.

Co-Parenting and a Natural Parenting Style

Scott has previously spoken about his parenting approach with ex Kylie Jenner, emphasizing structure paired with independence. In a past interview, he explained that they aim for a natural style rooted in self-discipline.

Rather than forcing rules, they guide their kids to make choices and understand consequences. Bedtime is not just a command. It is a lesson in responsibility. "She's so fire because she goes to sleep now," he shared. "We try to do a more natural vibe [with parenting], like more self-discipline. Like, 'Okay, you know you got to go to bed at 9, are you going to stay up till 11 or are you going to go to sleep now?' And it's so cool [to hear her say], 'I'm going to sleep ya'll!'"

Though Scott and Jenner ended their relationship in late 2022, their focus on co-parenting remains clear. They welcomed Stormi in February 2018 and Aire in February 2022, and Scott continues to show that being a present father is non-negotiable.

Travis Scott may be known for high-energy performances and boundary-pushing music, but when it comes to his kids, he does not play. Fatherhood is where his focus sharpens, his values surface, and his future takes shape.
