Andrew Garfield’s shocking blonde hair makeover has fans doing a double take

Andrew Garfield has officially made us do a double take. The 42-year-old 'Amazing Spider-Man' star appeared nearly unrecognizable this weekend while stepping out in Las Vegas with girlfriend Monica Barbaro, debuting a dramatic new look.

Andrew had long, curly blonde hair and a clean-shaven face. The actor, a natural brunette known for his wavy locks and signature scruff, tucked his new golden strands behind his ears under a blue cap.

He paired the bold transformation with a mustard-colored hoodie and casual T-shirt while smiling alongside Barbaro backstage at the Penn & Teller show at the Rio Hotel. 

The duo posed with the famed magicians, who shared the moment on Instagram, captioning the photo, “Great to have #andrewgarfield and @monicabarbaro at the show @riovegas over the weekend.”

Barbaro, 35, matched the low-key glamour of Garfield’s new style with a plunging white blouse, accessorized with gold hoops and a delicate necklace, effortlessly complementing the actor’s standout appearance. 

Fans quickly speculated in the comments that the outing was a date night, and the couple certainly didn’t disappoint with their cozy, affectionate energy.

While Garfield’s transformation might seem sudden, insiders suggest it could be tied to his upcoming Apple TV+ series 'Wild Things,' in which he stars alongside Jude Law as legendary Vegas illusionists Siegfried & Roy. 

Garfield takes on the role of Siegfried Fischbacher, known for his signature long blonde hair, while Law portrays Roy Horn. A Vegas magic show outing suddenly makes perfect sense in this context.

The English-American actor’s personal life has generally remained private. As he once told Esquire, “I have never, and I won’t ever, speak about or confirm or deny anything about my personal life with anyone, ever.” Despite his discretion, Garfield and Barbaro’s romance has gradually unfolded in the public eye.

The pair were first linked at W Magazine’s annual Los Angeles event in January 2025. A source later told People that they were “spending time together quietly.” Since then, they’ve been spotted at low-key outings, including a February trip to London to see 'Richard II' at the Bridge Theatre.

Their relationship appeared to blossom further in July 2025, when they made a PDA-filled appearance at Wimbledon. Photographers captured the couple holding hands as they entered the All England Tennis and Croquet Club, sharing smiles and laughter, with Garfield leaning in to kiss Barbaro on the cheek.

The couple’s connection continued to draw attention as they were photographed together at various events, from the Met Gala backstage to Wimbledon matches, always showing subtle yet unmistakable affection.

This new look is Garfield’s most dramatic yet. Previously seen with wavy brown hair and a beard, he now embraces a longer, sun-kissed style that makes him almost unrecognizable.
