Kai Trump is sharing her thoughts on her personal politics. The granddaughter of Donald Trump has increasingly built an online presence, discussing her aspirations to play golf professionally while sharing an intimate look at her life in Florida. She was recently a guest at "Impaulsive," one of the most listened-to podcasts in the country, hosted by Logan Paul.
In a chat where they discussed a wide range of topics, from Kai's career in sports to her day-to-day life. At one point, Paul asked her about her politics, specifically contrasting her grandfather to his 2024 political adversary, Kamala Harris. "To be honest with you, I stay out of politics completely," said Kai. "I don't want anything to do with politics because it's such a dangerous thing."
As she elaborated further, she argued that politics would work best from a less extreme place, something that's made all the more complicated due to the influence of social media and the algorithm, which proliferates the type of content you want to see.
"I think if both sides had met in the middle, everyone would be much happier. There's a radical left, there's a radical right," said Kai.
"There are a lot of people who get too extreme, and that's where social media really ties in. Because social media makes your feed really be one way or another. There's not a lot of middle. That makes some people crazy, and some people buy into it too much."
Still, Kai concluded that while she's apolitical herself, she supports her family. "There's no bad blood. I'm very much in the middle. Obviously, I support my grandpa, my family member. But that's pretty much it."
Kai Trump's growing career as an influencer
On her social media, Kai shared her thoughts after being featured on "Impaulsive," and some photos alongside Paul and his co-host Mike Majlak. "First podcast ever on Impulsive! This was such a fun experience. Thank you, Logan and Mike, for having me!" she wrote in the post's caption.
Kai has hundreds of posts shared on her Instagram, which has 2.6 million followers. While her posts remain largely apolitical, sharing updates of her golfing career and life with her friends, in her end-of-the-year wrap-up post, she included Trump's presidency as one of the highlights of 2025.
"2025 was such a big year. From my grandpa becoming president, to starting my senior year of high school, making my LPGA debut, and going all in on YouTube — it’s been a year I’ll always remember. So grateful for everyone who’s been part of the journey," she wrote.
Kai also played a key role in politics in 2024, joining her grandfather as he campaigned for office and speaking at the Republican National Convention.
