Chrissy Teigen has always been a dedicated and loving mom - and a hilarious one. The candid and raw cookbook author and model notoriously shares her L's with the world. Over the weekend, she revealed that she lost one of her front veneers, all thanks to an innocent-looking candy cane.
In an Instagram reel posted Sunday, Teigen documented the Christmas activity gone wrong. They did the “growing candy canes” project, where kids put mini candy canes in dirt, and the parents switch them out overnight with bigger and longer ones to make them think Christmas magic made them grow.
Everything was going great until things took a sharp turn. “I tried to open one of these bad boys… my tooth fell off,” she said, laughing as she showed off the tiny stub underneath. She captioned the post, “Merry chrithmath from our family to yours!!!!!!!”
Despite having the entire veneer pop off, Teigen powered through the next day because, as she said with a big lisp, “This is what moms do for their kids, so you can think you grew a candy can." "I was trying to create magic," she added.
John Legend, ever the supportive husband, who is no longer surprised by her antics, responded in the comments with a string of laughing emojis. The timing, of course, couldn’t have been worse. The next day was her kids’ Winter Sing recital, and considering it was the weekend, she had to show up veneer-less. Teigen hilariously showed off the tiny tooth throughout the video.
Her video wasnt all about her tooth; it shared an adorable look into the family's life, and the sing recital looked too cute. Their oldest son, Miles Theodore, looked like John's mini-me while up on stage. Fans loved seeing the video: "I love that you posted this," "Betht mom ever!!" and "i love what’s unwell with you" read some of the top liked comments.
Thankfully, the dental disaster didn’t last long. Teigen took to her Instagram story from the dentist’s chair as her veneer was put back in place, writing, “We are back in business,” and giving a shoutout to her cosmetic dentist.
Once her tooth was back in place, she shared one final nostalgic moment with their daughter Luna, joking, “It was cool to say hi to my old tooth for a while hiiii old tooth!”
Thankfully, the tooth got knocked out and fixed before Christmas, so they won't have to worry about toothless photos for their holiday photos.
