Victoria Beckham now officially holds a new title following her husband David Beckham’s recent knighthood, confirming her status as “Lady Beckham.”
The fashion designer and former Spice Girl made the announcement during an appearance on 'Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.' When Cohen asked if she is now “Lady Victoria,” she replied with a smile, “I am Lady Beckham.”
The host then asked if he could call her “Lady Posh,” a nod to her iconic Spice Girls persona. Victoria responded, “Listen, whatever you want. Whatever you want. Anything for you.”
David Beckham, 50, received his knighthood from King Charles III on November 4 at Windsor Castle for his services to football and charitable causes.
Alongside his parents, Ted Beckham and Sandra West, Victoria attended the ceremony wearing an elegant black dress of her own design. David donned the first-ever tailored menswear piece from Victoria’s eponymous fashion label.
The former footballer reflected on the honor with humility and humor, telling reporters, “I'm not insisting. If they would like to call me Sir Dad or Sir Son, they can. But no. It's gonna take some getting used to people saying it, but no, it's a huge honor.”
He added candidly, “I cried when I first found out, and possibly for a few months after it as well… it's been really emotional because being back in London and obviously, on the lead-up to this day, it's been not stressful, I've not been nervous. I've just been emotional.”
Victoria, who shares four children with David, Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14, has long expressed her pride in her husband’s achievements.
On social media, she gushed, “Words cannot express how proud I am of you @DavidBeckham!” Earlier, she wrote, “David, from the moment I met you 28 years ago, you’ve always been so proud to represent your country. Whether on or off the pitch, no one loves England or respects our Royal Family more, so to see you honoured by The King today is something I’ll forever cherish.”
She continued in a heartfelt tribute, “You’ve achieved so much, and yet you’re still the same kind, humble, hardworking man I met nearly 30 years ago, as well as the most amazing husband and father. I’ve never felt prouder than I do today. Sir @davidbeckham, we all love you so much xxx.”
David also shared gratitude for his family after the ceremony, writing, “All I have ever wanted to do is to make my family proud… my beautiful wife who has been by my side for the last 28 years, who has been my biggest supporter and my shoulder to cry on in tough times….without her I wouldn't have had the life I have had. To my beautiful children…they are our greatest joy in life and my inspiration every single day. I love you all so much.”
