Jennifer Lopez went all out to mark a major milestone for her mom, Guadalupe Rodríguez, hosting an extravagant 80th birthday celebration in Las Vegas surrounded by loved ones.
The 56-year-old entertainer — who recently shared a look inside the Los Angeles home she once lived in with ex Ben Affleck — took to Instagram on Friday to post photos and videos from the festive night.
The celebration took place at the Bellagio Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip and included appearances from Lopez’s rarely seen sisters, Leslie and Lynda, along with her 17-year-old twins, Max and Emme.
In one snapshot, Lopez posed alongside her two sisters, who both wore chic black outfits. Lopez, meanwhile, stood out in an off-the-shoulder white dress featuring ruched detailing, styling her hair in soft waves that fell past her shoulders.
She finished the look with dangling earrings and a pearl Chanel bracelet worn on her right wrist.
The star was raised in New York City’s Bronx neighborhood with her sisters and has previously opened up about her upbringing. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight in 2020, Lopez reflected on her mother’s early years as a parent.
'She was a young mom,' the actress said of Rodriguez. 'She got married when she was 20. She had my sister when she was 21.
'We all grew up together. It was like living with a teenager, to be honest,' Lopez — the middle child — added.
Leslie went on to pursue a career as a music teacher, while Lynda later became an Emmy-winning journalist.
During the festivities, Lopez was also photographed spending time with her mother inside The Mayfair Supperclub, where friends and family gathered for the celebration.
Another moment captured Rodriguez being surprised with a three-tier cake frosted in blue and decorated with a sparkling pink “80” on the front. A showgirl doll sat atop the cake, tying into the Las Vegas theme, as Rodriguez covered her face in delight.
Lopez also snapped a selfie with the birthday honoree, who dazzled in a black dress accented with silver, glittering details around the shoulders.
Later in the evening, Lopez appeared to switch outfits as she took the stage to sing for her mother. She changed into a shimmering gold dress cinched at the waist and paired the look with strappy, open-toe heels.
The dance floor paid tribute to the milestone, displaying 'Lupe 80' in pink lettering, while showgirls performed on stage. At one point, Rodriguez was seen dancing along with the performers before other guests joined in.
Lopez’s twins — whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony — also delivered heartfelt speeches in honor of their grandmother during the night.
The party continued with Lopez and guests dancing alongside Rodriguez, moments of which were shared in short video clips on Instagram.
Lopez also posed for photos with fellow attendees and stepped out onto a rooftop area to enjoy some fresh air. She was joined by her mother and a few others, all smiling and laughing during the relaxed moment together.
