George Clooney is offering a rare look inside his marriage, saying he and Amal Clooney have never actually argued. Speaking on Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast, the actor explained that their decade together has been remarkably smooth, and that neither of them sees any point in starting a disagreement they know won’t go anywhere.
The acclaimed actor claims he and his wife, Amal Clooney, have never argued. The 64-year-old actor and the 47-year-old lawyer - who have been married since 2014 - do not start rows that either of them cannot win.
After George referenced his drama-free marriage on the latest episode of Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast, Travis, 36, asked, "You claim that you and your wife haven't gotten in a fight in 10 years. Are you lying?"
The Jay Kelly star replied, "No, I'm not lying, Travis. Shall we ask you the same questions?"
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end - who has been in a relationship with pop megastar Taylor Swift, 35, since 2023 - laughed as he replied: "Well, it's only been two-and-a-half years, and you're right, I haven't gotten in an argument."
George went on to share that he and human-rights attorney Amal do not see the point in locking horns with each other. He said, "Neither of us are going to win the argument, so why get in it?"
The Hollywood legend said his age has given him perspective, adding, "Dude, I'm 64 years old, and what am I going to argue about at this point?"
"I've met this incredible woman, she's beautiful and smart, and she stands for all the most important things that I believe in in the world, and I can't believe how lucky I am, so what am I going to fight about?"
George then jokingly encouraged Travis and 38-year-old Jason, who has been married to media personality Kylie Kelce, 33, since 2018, to model their relationships after his and Amal's. Travis - who got engaged to Taylor in August - quipped: "I'm just taking notes this whole time, big guy. You don't even know."
In July 2013, George and Amal met through a mutual pal, who decided to bring Amal to the Batman and Robin actor's villa in Lake Como, Italy.
By April 2014, George proposed to Amal. Then, in September that year, the pair got married in front of 100 of their closest family and friends at the historic Aman Canal Grande in Venice, Italy. In 2017, the Clooney's welcomed their eight-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander, into the world.
George does not want them to be actors, but instead, he wants his bundles of joy to follow in their mom's footsteps.
The Ocean's Eleven actor recently told Entertainment Tonight, "I don’t want them in it. Well, they actually don’t know what I do for a living yet. No, not really."
Asked if Alexander and Ella may be interested in becoming lawyers, George replied: "I hope. My god, a lawyer? That’d be amazing."
