Amal Clooney brought a golden glow to one of the most meaningful nights on her calendar. Arriving alongside George Clooney at The Albies 2026 on October 9, the human rights lawyer wore a shimmering gown that combined a sculpted silhouette with cascading fringe.
But her dress was only part of the transformation. A fresh haircut added another dimension to her glamorous evening look.
The couple posed together at London’s Natural History Museum in South Kensington, where their Clooney Foundation for Justice hosted the annual ceremony. With Amal in gold and George in a classic black tuxedo, their coordinated appearance offered an elegant take on evening dressing.
A gold gown with movement in every detail:
Amal’s Gucci gown featured a neckline that swept across the bust and rested just below her shoulders, framing her décolletage. Its fitted bodice defined the waist before continuing into a long, streamlined skirt, with rows of reflective embellishments creating a rich metallic finish.
Amal carried that golden glow through to her accessories, choosing metallic pointed-toe pumps that peeked beneath the hem. A sparkling clutch in a softer, silvery shade added contrast, while dangling earrings caught the light through her loose brunette waves.
George complemented her look with a black tuxedo, white shirt, black bow tie, and polished lace-up shoes. Posing arm in arm, the pair let the contrast between her luminous gown and his dark tailoring do the work.
The beauty update behind her golden glow:
Amal wore her highlighted brunette hair in loose waves with a side part. Hairstylist and makeup artist Dimitris Giannetos told Vogue he had cut it considerably shorter and added textured layers, describing the inspiration as “A combo of Sophia Loren meets Kate Moss.”
Her makeup echoed the gown with luminous skin, golden eye shimmer, and a softly defined nude lip. Giannetos used Charlotte Tilbury products to create the finish, balancing radiance with targeted powder.
The loose waves softened the dress’s structured neckline, while the warm tones in her hair tied the beauty look to the gold ensemble.
A glamorous evening with a purpose:
Beyond the fashion, The Albies honors people who defend justice around the world, often at considerable personal risk. Now in its fifth year, the ceremony brought together guests including Brad Pitt, Laura Dern, Donatella Versace and Emma Thompson to celebrate the 2026 honorees.
For Amal and George, the evening united their public profiles with their foundation’s work. Her glittering look supplied the red carpet moment, while the ceremony placed the spotlight on the journalists, advocates, and organizations being recognized.
