It's the end of an era. Jennifer Lopez appears to have officially covered up her Ben Affleck tattoo. The couple got matching tattoos in February of 2023, around Valentine's Day, with Lopez commemorating the special moment on social media.

New reports from the gossip account Deuxmoi claim Lopez took the plunge and got another tattoo to cover up her Ben Affleck design. "J.Lo covered up Ben's name on her tattoo. She put a hummingbird in place of his name. Fans don't know exactly when she covered up the tattoo, but they noticed the change in July/August of this year," reads the notice.

The account highlighted some recent photos of a performance of Lopez, where she's seen dancing and singing onstage while wearing a glittery bikini.

In that same post, Deuxmoi addressed rumors of a video that showed Lopez and Affleck kissing. "Guys, those videos are old. You're like my mom falling for everything on social media," reads the reply.

Lopez and Affleck had symbolic tattoos on different parts of their body, with her having an infinity sign tattooed on her ribs with the names "Jennifer" and "Ben" spelled in cursive. Affleck had his tattoo on the inside of his arm, showing two arrows, with the letters "J" and "B" on opposite ends.

Years before the two got back together, Lopez addressed Affleck's infamous tattoo of a colorful phoenix on his back."It has too many colors. His tattoos always have too many colors," said Lopez in 2015 on "Watch What Happens Live."

"They shouldn't be so colorful, you know what I mean? They should be, like, cooler, I don't know."

Lopez has shown her ribcage in past months

Over the past couple of years, Lopez has worn gowns and outfits that have showcased her ribcage, opting to cover her tattoo with makeup for the occasion. Later red carpet appearances showed that Lopez had begun a removal process of the tattoo.

While fans have yet to have a clear visual of the new design, this marks the first instance where the replacement tattoo has been discussed.

"This is why you don’t get someone’s name tattooed on your body,” wrote someone in the comments section.
