Shakira loves an unexpected viral moment. The Colombian superstar is promoting her most recent film, "Zootopia 2," which features a new original song and the chance to return to Gazelle, the character she played almost 10 years ago. One of her most unexpected viral ideas appeared over social media earlier this week.
© @shakiraIn a video shared by Brooke Monk, a 22-year-old influencer with almost 8 million followers, the clip showed what appeared to be a routine dance video. Monk is seen wearing jeans and a black t-shirt, completing a simple dance. After a few seconds, Shakira is revealed, matching her dance moves and wearing a similar outfit made up of a black shirt and black ripped jeans.
"POV: Duos where one is brunette and the other one is blonde," wrote Monk over the image, which had no caption.
She also shared a separate video, showing a behind-the-scenes look at their work together, showing them completing their dance with ease.
For her part, Shakira shared some photos on her personal Instagram, showing herself and Monk laughing together and smiling for the camera. More footage shows Shakira promoting some of her work, including her haircare product line, called Isima, and some photos of herself wearing a stunning pink outfit made up of a matching corset, pants, and sunglasses as she promoted "Zootopia 2."
Shakira is joined by her sons this time around
Over the past week, Shakira has been promoting her film, with her sons, Sasha and Milan, joining her on the red carpet. It turns out that her sons were also involved with the film itself, having small parts.
“Oh my God, I drool over them. They know that. They were not shy at all," said Shakira on the red carpet, to Entertainment Tonight. She revealed that her sons were very natural in the sound booth. "They were very spontaneous, and it was very easy to record their lines."
"We all recorded our lines together when I did Gazelle, and they played Judy Hopps’ little brothers,” she said.The boys also seemed excited to continue to do voice work, sharing that they had a lot of fun.
“Yeah, tons,” said Sasha.
“Of course,” said Milan. “It was a great experience and I’m super excited.”

“This year Milan has written songs that have made me tear up and Sasha has dedicated hours playing the piano and discovering his voice,” wrote Shakira on social media, when promoting her hit song "Acrostico."
“Both have spent some time with me in the studio and upon hearing this song, they’ve asked to be part of it. They’ve felt it and interpreted it in their own way and for themselves, with the same passion and emotion of a person who carries music within them.”
