It’s been 30 years since Enrique Iglesias began his music career. He kicked it off in 1995 with his self-titled debut album, marking the start of a stellar journey that continues to bring him success today. Enrique's fame transcends national boundaries. Proof of that are the concerts he’s performing this week, once again showing he’s one of Spain’s most internationally recognized artists.
Global success and return to Asia
His name is also making waves in Asia. Julio Iglesias’ son has traveled to India, where he’s thrilled fans after a 13-year absence. As soon as he arrived, crowds of admirers and photographers were waiting for him. On Wednesday, he performed his first concert in Mumbai at the MMRDA Grounds, where he’s set to perform again tonight to a sold-out crowd of 60,000 people.
And his journey through Asia doesn’t stop there. After his two shows in India, Enrique will head to the United Arab Emirates, specifically Abu Dhabi, to perform at the Etihad Arena this Saturday, November 1. That concert is also sold out, a feat few Spanish-speaking artists have achieved. With that, Enrique cements his status as the only Spanish singer to sell out three back-to-back shows in the Middle East, performing in total for nearly 80,000 fans.
A personal milestone with Anna Kournikova
Enrique’s Asian adventure comes at a special moment in his personal life. He and his partner, Anna Kournikova, are expecting their fourth child. The couple has been enjoying this new chapter together, recently spotted on a relaxing boat ride through Miami. Earlier this year, they confirmed they were expanding their family, and over the past few months, Anna has been seen out and about in the city, proudly showing her growing baby bump. The couple has yet to share the baby’s due date, but their happiness is clear as they look forward to welcoming their newest addition.
Kournikova and Iglesias tend to keep their private life out of the spotlight, rarely sharing personal details with the media. Still, Enrique recently confirmed the happy news while performing in Mexico at the Feria Nacional Potosina in San Luis Potosí. “I feel a lot of responsibility, but I’m happy and very excited,” he said with a smile, reflecting both the pride and joy of this new chapter in their lives.
