Jennifer Garner spent her weekend doing something fulfilling. This past Sunday, Garner was photographed delivering meals in Los Angeles as a part of A Million Meals, a program that delivers nutritious meals for children in communities in need.
The program is made in partnership with Garner's Once Upon a Farm, one of its co-founders. The hope of A Million Meals is to deliver that number of meals to children in communities in need by 2025.
“My work with Save the Children over the past 15 years has deepened and informed my advocacy for early childhood nutrition, and in many ways, is what led me to co-founding Once Upon a Farm," said Garner in a statement. "We’ve always had big ambitions, chief among them to bring healthy, nutritious food to kids everywhere. With this incredible initiative, we hope to deliver on this promise in an impactful way. We look forward to the important work we have to do with Save the Children over the next two years.”
For the occasion, Garner was dressed comfortably, wearing a green sweatshirt with the organization's logo printed on the chest. She completed the look with some camo leggings, high socks, running shoes, and a red cap.
Garner was photographed laughing and smiling, having a good time with her other contributors. She was also photographed carrying a brown box filled with different foods and supplies.
Garner's support for farmers and good nutrition
Garner founded Once Upon a Farm in 2015, alongside her friends Cassandra Curtis and Ari Raz, with the goal of developing healthier and more delicious baby foods for kids in the US, with these ingredients and foods inspired by Garner's childhood and the food she used to eat on her farm in Oklahoma, which her family has owned since 1936.
One of Garner's most recent posts shows her wearing some overalls and a white t-shirt, sitting atop a green tractor. "Farmers are the heart of our country," she wrote. "Happy National Farmer's Day! Love from your biggest fan, Farmer Jen."
The post is completed with more videos and photos that show her atop different tractors, clearly somewhere where she's happy and fulfilled.
Garner's philanthropic efforts have been a big part of her career, with her focusing on children's welfare. Her advocacy has resulted in her visiting Capitol Hill and the White House to advocate for the causes she cares about, something that she has in common with her daughter, Violet, who recently attended a UN meeting to advocate for the importance of masking in public.
