Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos' daughter, Lola, is visiting her parents. The couple's middle daughter is based in London and has been spending some time with her family over the past weeks, causing some turmoil for Mark's favorite football team. Ripa and Consuelos shared what had happened in a new episode of "Live With Kelly and Mark."
“Our daughter is home visiting us. We’re so happy. There’s so much life in the house when she’s in the house,” said Ripa. “Anyway, Lola and I walked in while Mark was watching the game, and something bad happened.”
While Ripa wasn't paying much attention to what was going on onscreen, apparently the Buccaneers, Consuelos' favorite team, began performing poorly against the San Francisco 49ers, prompting Consuelos to declare that Ripa and Lola "were bad luck."
Consuelos denied it, prompting some laughs from the audience. "Somebody said it, that we were bad luck, when we walked into the room," Ripa said. "And so, then we took our exit cue, and I was like, 'Don’t tempt me with a good time. I don’t mind leaving and not watching this game.'"
Consuelos said that once Ripa and Lola had left the room, the Buccaneers began performing better. "So basically, I controlled the game," quipped Kelly.
"That’s right. I appreciate that," said Mark.
More details about Lola's life
Lola Consuelos is one of three kids shared between Ripa and Consuelos. The 24-year-old young woman is currently based in London, where she lives with her boyfriend, Cassius Kidston.
Despite the physical distance that exists between herself and her parents, Lola often comes to the US to spend some time with her mom and dad and her siblings, Michael and Joaquin. The group also travels often to the UK to visit her, with them sharing just how much they love the city.
"I was in London, our daughter—as you know—is moving to London, so I went to help her find a flat," explained Ripa in 2023, when Lola first moved to the UK.
In recent years, Lola has shared the special bond she shares with her parents and was even featured on her mother's podcast, "Let's Talk Off-Camera with Kelly Ripa."
"That's when I started feeling like I didn't really want anyone else's opinion but my parents'," she said to her mother. "You know that your parents actually in most cases — and it's really sad if this is not the case — but in most cases, your parents actually have your best interest at heart."
