Jon Bon Jovi has lived many lives — rock star, husband, philanthropist — but his latest role might be his most cherished yet, as the living legend became a grandfather in 2025. The 63-year-old “Livin’ on a Prayer” legend is soaking up every moment after his son Jake Bongiovi and daughter-in-law, actress Millie Bobby Brown, welcomed their daughter in August.
Jon shared the big news in a Sept. 21 preview of "Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde" podcast, where he beamed about becoming “Grandpa Jon.” Jake and Millie’s adoption of their baby girl instantly transformed Bon Jovi’s world. “They adopted a girl, and we met the baby obviously, and immediately it becomes your grandchild, your baby,” he said with pride.
© Getty ImagesAnd while Jon has performed for millions across the globe, it’s this tiny audience of one who has his full attention. “It’s beautiful,” he gushed. “I want to see pictures like every other day. I’m that pain in the butt guy already. It’s cool.”
A Growing Bon Jovi Family
The Bongiovi household is about to get even busier. Jon also revealed that his son Jesse and Jesse’s wife are expecting, meaning another grandbaby is on the way. “Suddenly it’s a shift again,” Jon said, marveling at this new chapter for his family.

Supporting Young Love
Beyond his new granddad glow, Jon also took a moment to reflect on Jake and Millie’s whirlwind love story. The couple, who started dating in 2021, tied the knot in 2024. While some eyebrows raised at their young age, Jon said his family gave their blessing wholeheartedly. “They got married very young, but we blessed it because we get it,” Jon explained. “They’re sort of mature beyond their years. She comes from a family where her parents are still together, and they married very young.”
For Jon, seeing the way Jake and Millie love each other was enough proof. “Her and Jake fell in love, and we thought, ‘Okay, we’ll support this.’ And it’s working out.”

Jon didn’t hold back his praise for his new daughter-in-law, either. Calling the "Stranger Things" actress “a sweetheart,” he highlighted her dedication and drive. “I tell her all the time how much I admire her because her work ethic is unbelievable,” he said.
Millie, meanwhile, has been equally open about her love for Jake. Just days ago, she marked their first wedding anniversary with a touching Instagram post: “1 year married. I love being your wife.”
