A notorious guest has just confirmed their attendance at one of this year's biggest weddings. Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are set to wed any day now, with both going to their bachelor and bachelorette parties over the past weeks. Last night, at the VMAs red carpet, one of Gomez and Blanco's most notorious guests confirmed their attendance at the event by accident.
Paris and Nicky Hilton shared the news by accident while being interviewed by Access Hollywood. The sisters were asked about the weddings they'd like to attend in the near future, mentioning some of the industry's most popular couples, including Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, Dua Lipa and Calum Turner, and Gomez and Blanco.
Nicky chose Swift and Kelce while Paris chose Blanco and Gomez. "Love them," she said.
Her sister shared a few more details. "Aren't you attending that?" asked Nicky.
"Yeah, I wasn't going to say that, but I don't know. I wasn't planning on it," said Paris, with the sisters sharing an awkward laugh and Nicky apologizing. The two stopped themselves from revealing any details, including the wedding date.
What we know of Gomez and Blanco's wedding
Earlier this month, it was reported that Gomez and Blanco would be getting married in the Montecito/Santa Barbara area, in a location that has yet to be disclosed to their guests.
According to a report by TMZ, guests will meet at a meeting point in Montecito, where they will be transported to the actual wedding location. These security measures make it more likely for drones to capture footage of the event or for fans and onlookers to make their way to the destination and disrupt the nuptials.
In March of this year, the couple revealed that they hadn't started planning the wedding, something that Ed Sheeran proved to be untrue when, a few weeks later, he shared that he'd received his save-the-date notification.
Other wedding details that have been revealed include some culinary treats that will be featured (pickles for Blanco and grandma's biscuits and gravy for Gomez) and the fact that Gomez's co-star, Martin Short, will likely give a speech.
“I told him he must... I feel like Marty would have an epic speech,” she said on "The Drew Barrymore Show."
