Lady Gaga was forced to make a last-minute cancellation in Miami. The singer and actress shared a statement on her social media, canceling her Kaseya Center performance minutes before she was scheduled to take the stage.
Gaga shared her statement on her Instagram, sharing that she experienced extreme strain on her voice while performing her vocal warmups. "Hi everyone, I am really so so sorry but I need to postpone tonight’s show in Miami," she began her statement.
She shared that her voice was strained while rehearsing on Tuesday, September 2nd, and while warming up for the show on September 3rd, with her doctors advising her to cancel the performance.
“There is a significant risk based on all our combined experience with a show like ours and as you know I sing live every night — and even though this was a hard and agonizing decision I would be more afraid of the long term implications on my voice," Gaga continued. "I hope you can forgive me and accept my sincerest apologies for any disappointment, let down, inconvenience. I am so so sorry I tried so hard to avoid this I take serious care of myself to be able to put on this highly demanding show. I love my fans so much, respect you and hope you can accept my sincere regretful apology."
The Kaseya Center confirmed Gaga's cancellation on a social media post, sharing that the concert would be "postponed" and that refunds would be issued.
"Information on the rescheduled date and the process for refunds will be issued soon," they wrote.
