Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz stepped out hand-in-hand for a cozy date night at Mother Wolf in Los Angeles, seemingly unbothered by the ongoing family drama that has The Beckhams in the spotlight.
Nicola, wearing a casual yet stylish look, turned heads in a cropped black top paired with low-rise jeans, platform heels, and her signature black leather handbag.
She accessorized the look with her dazzling engagement ring, proving that their relationship is going strong. Brooklyn kept it casual but sharp, sporting a white tee over a long-sleeve sweatshirt, loose-fitting jeans, black shoes, and his trademark backwards cap.
But behind the smiles and the romance lies a family fracture that continues to deepen following their recent vow renewal. On August 2nd, Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their wedding vows in an intimate ceremony held in Westchester County, New York.
The occasion, described by Brooklyn as “a really beautiful experience – a really cute memory,” was attended exclusively by Nicola’s family. Her billionaire father, Nelson Peltz, 83, officiated the ceremony, while her mother, Claudia, 70, lent her vintage wedding gown to the bride.
The couple later shared glimpses of the celebration on social media with the caption: “only love.” But to the Beckhams, the gesture felt more like a message of distance than affection. "Not one member of the 30-plus extended family knew about the wedding, or were invited,” a source told The Sun.
David and Victoria Beckham were reportedly cruising the Tuscan coast aboard a yacht with their younger children, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14, when they learned of the vow renewal from the news.
This isn’t the first sign of trouble between Brooklyn and his famous family. Tensions reportedly began before the couple’s first wedding in 2022. At that time, sources cited disagreements over everything from the guest list to Nicola’s choice to wear Valentino over a Victoria Beckham design.
"To be honest, although there have been moments of rapprochement, this hostility dates back to 2021," an insider told the publication. The second ceremony, however, seems to mark a turning point.
Not only were the Beckhams absent, but even Liberty, Victoria’s niece and a bridesmaid at the first wedding, was reportedly cut from the guest list. Brooklyn’s continued absence from major family events only adds fuel to the fire.
He skipped David’s 50th birthday in May and failed to publicly wish either of his parents a happy birthday this year, which is a notable break from the family’s traditionally affectionate online behavior. Instead, he posted a heartfelt tribute to Nelson Peltz. “Happy birthday Nelson x We love you,” alongside a smiling photo with Nicola and her father.
