Lourdes Leon couldn't miss out on her mother's lavish birthday party. The singer and model was photographed and recorded in attendance at Madonna's 67th birthday party, hosted in Italy, featuring all manner of guests, dancers, meals, and lavish outfits. There was also a Labubu cake, which made for one of the most memorable sights at the party.

Madonna shared a video of her birthday celebration, which highlighted all manner of special moments between herself, her family, and friends. The party, hosted in Siena, Italy, was devised with the purpose of her watching the Palio horse race, a dream she'd long been harboring. 

In an Instagram reel, Madonna shared some of the highlights of her birthday, which included the support of her boyfriend Akeem Morris, and her kids, Lourdes, Rocco, David Banda, and Mercy. 

She shared her feelings in a lengthy caption. "My Dream for many years has been to watch the Palio horse race in Siena that takes place on my birthday, August 16, since 1482!!"

"There are no words to describe the excitement, the suspense, and the Pageantry!! A truly sacred ritual to witness thousands of people hushed to a silence before the race begins! The race itself is impossible to describe. Grazie Mille! Dreams do come true! Happy Birthday to me!!! Ciao Italia!"

The reel teased all sorts of special moments, including Madonna dancing alongside her daughters, throwing an arm around Lourdes, and more special moments, like Mercy playing the piano.

She also shared some footage of her custom Labubu cake, which was tiered, pink, and had a giant Labubu cake doll at the top. "Happy birthday Madudu," read the cake's inscription. The post acquired comments from all sorts of celebrities, including rumored couple Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

"MY QUEEN," wrote Perry. "Happy happy birthday," wrote Trudeau.

More details about the Palio horse race

The Palio horse race consists of three laps around the square, with the winning horse being the one that crosses the finish line first. The race is held twice a year, with both occasions having religious meanings. 

One is hosted on July 2nd, to honor the Virgin of Provenzano, and the other is hosted on August 16th, in honor of the Assumption of the Virgin.
