Lauren Sanchez Bezos is celebrating the birthday of a close friend. In a sweet statement, Sanchez Bezos commemorated the birthday of Domenico Dolce, the revered designer and co-founder of Dolce & Gabbana, one of the world's leading luxury fashion houses.
To mark Dolce's 66th birthday, Sanchez Bezos shared some photos of herself and Dolce adding the finishing touches to her wedding dress, which he designed. Sanchez Bezos' wedding dress designer reveal was one of the most anticipated moments of her nuptials, with many believing that she would opt for fashion houses like Schiaparelli or Oscar de la Renta, which she's worn in the past.
"Happy birthday, Domenico... The way you see beauty in everything around you and bring it to life is just extraordinary..." she wrote. She accompanied the message with a black and white photo of herself and Dolce, with her wearing her wedding dress and Dolce dressed in black, arranging her veil as he looked at her closely.
"You're not just wildly talented, you're one of the kindest, most generous people I know. Your friendship means everything to me and I hope you're having the best day. I love you," wrote Sanchez Bezos over a separate image, showing the full length of white her gown.
More details about Sanchez Bezos and Dolce's relationship
While Sanchez Bezos is a great admirer of Dolce and his work, the two have also been friends for years, which is why she reached out to him to help her realize the vision that she had for her wedding dress.
“It went from ‘I want a simple, sexy modern dress’ to ‘I want something that evokes a moment,’” she said in an interview with Vogue, revealing that the dress took a year and a half to complete, starting with a dinner in New York between her and Dolce.
Over the years, Sanchez Bezos and Dolce have supported each other, with her attending his couture show in Sardinia last summer to watch her son, Nikko Gonzalez, walk the runway. Gonzalez made his debut as a model on Dolce & Gabbana's fall-winter 2024 menswear show in Milan earlier that year.
Dolce was one of the guests at the couple's luxurious wedding in Venice this summer, where he stayed at the stunning Aman hotel and was photographed spending time alongside the Kardashian-Jenners, Orlando Bloom, and other prestigious guests.
