Leonardo DiCaprio's romantic Ibiza vacation takes a turn with police search

DiCaprio has been on vacation with his girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti

Leonardo DiCaprio and Vittoria Ceretti's peaceful and romantic European vacation hit a stumble over the weekend. According to some footage, the actor and his girlfriend were stopped by the Ibiza police.

The footage, obtained by The Daily Mail, shows DiCaprio being pat down by the police. But he wasn't the only one; according to the publication, DiCaprio and his group, which included Ceretti, the actor Joel Edgerton, and his partner Christine Centenera, all had to submit to searches and pat-downs before accessing an exclusive party hosted by the tequila brand Patron and the Spanish actor Aron Piper.

Policemen didn't appear to recognize DiCaprio, who wore an all black outfit made out of pants and a vintage t-shirt. He rounded it all off with a matching cap, keeping his anonymity.

The party was packed with notorious celebrities, including Kendall Jenner, Tobey Maguire, and more.

Ceretti looked stylish and youthful for the outing

“Every single person was patted down, and ID’d,” said a source to Page Six. While at first the authorities didn't recognize DiCaprio, they did after they let him in. “It’s funny, they did a double take and then he went in!”

Ceretti looked stylish for the occasion, wearing a white t-shirt that she knotted up around her belly button, alongside a skirt and some white sneakers. She rounded out the look with a brown purse and her hair straightened and loose.

Earlier this month, Ceretti and DiCaprio were photographed alongside their friends Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez Bezos as they vacationed across various European cities and islands, including Ibiza and Formentera. The pair were spotted at Bezos' superyacht and also enjoying the islands, going to restaurants and grabbing some sun.

DiCaprio's thoughts as he enters his 50s

In a recent interview published on Esquire, DiCaprio answered some questions from his "One Battle After Another" director, Paul Thomas Anderson, including his thoughts on turning 50.

"Well, it creates a feeling like you have a desire to just be more honest and not waste your time," he said. "I can only imagine how the next few decades are going to progress."

For DiCaprio, this new mindset translates to "being more upfront and risking having things fall apart or risk the disagreements or risk going your separate ways from any type of relationship in life — the personal, professional."
