Eva Mendes' dogs go viral: Lucho's camera hate vs. Magic's model poses

Eva Mendes might keep her kids out of the spotlight, but she's never shy about showing off her dogs!

The star took to Instagram this week to share some new photos of her furry friends, praising both of her pets for just how photogenic they are—even though not both of them are fans of the camera. "My Lucho can’t get out of the camera frame fast enough, and Magic can’t stop serving anytime, anywhere," she wrote in the caption.

In the first photos, Lucho can be seen posing with his mom, but as the slides go on, he's getting further and further out of frame. On the contrary, Magic is joining Mendes for what seems to be a professional photoshoot, proving she likes being in front of the camera a lot more than his brother.

The actress previously shared a heartwarming Instagram video introducing the newest addition to her family: a rescued Goldendoodle named Magic. The video features Magic joining Eva during a photoshoot, calmly lounging near her and even resting her head on a yoga mat beneath the bench. Her relaxed demeanor struck fans as irresistibly charming.

In her Instagram post, Eva wrote, “Meet the newest member of our family … Magic!!! We adopted her from this amazing organization, @californiadoodlerescues. More to come… I’m crazy about her and excited to share life with Magic with you.”

Eva chose the song "Magic" by Pilot as a lighthearted touch to accompany the reel—matching the pup’s name and missing no opportunity for sweetness. Her caption reflects pure affection and excitement: “I’m crazy about her and excited to share life with Magic with you.”

EEva and her husband, Ryan Gosling, previously rescued a Doberman named Lucho in 2019 from the Friends for Life Rescue Network. HHer earlier social media posts emphasized the importance of adoption, urging support for animal welfare and highlighting how many dogs need loving homes.

IIt is well known how significant an influence Mendes' pets have on her life. She has reflected on how being a pet parent helped prepare her emotionally for motherhood—sharing that loving pets like Hugo, George, and Lucho taught her lessons that translated into raising her two daughters.
