Deborra-Lee Furness is hitting a pause on romance. The 69-year-old actress is reportedly not interested in dating at the moment, following her high-profile divorce from longtime husband Hugh Jackman. According to sources who spoke with the UK’s Daily Mail, Furness has turned down invitations from several “incredible guys,” choosing instead to focus on emotional recovery after the end of her 27-year marriage.
“She never thought she’d be single at this stage in life,” an insider shared, emphasizing that while Furness isn’t ready to reenter the dating scene just yet, she may be open to love again once the dust from her divorce settles.
Deborra-Lee Furness is reportedly “not interested” in dating at the moment after filing for divorce from Hugh Jackman. While the 69-year-old has received offers from “incredible guys,” she has turned them down, still processing the heartbreak from her separation from the 56-year-old actor in 2023 after 27 years of marriage.
A source told MailOnline: “She’s gotten offers to go out and honestly, she is just not interested in this right now. “For decades, Deborra-Lee was certain that she had found her lifelong companion. She never thought in a million years that she’d be here, at this stage in her life, single.”
Furness, who met Jackman in 1995 while filming the Australian drama Correlli, where she starred as Louisa Correlli opposite Jackman’s character Kevin Jones, is reportedly expected to reenter the dating world once the divorce is finalized.
“She knows what she brings to the table,” the insider added. “Once the dust settles on this divorce, she’ll be open to dating again.”
Meanwhile, Jackman has reportedly moved on. In January 2024, he began dating 50-year-old actress Sutton Foster, his co-star from the 2022 Broadway revival of The Music Man.vBy May 2025, reports claimed that Furness was “shattered” upon learning that Foster was “slowly migrating” her belongings into the New York penthouse Jackman once shared with Furness, an apartment the couple purchased together in 2022.
“They’re living together, they’re inseparable,” a source told New Idea. “She’s slowly moving her things into Hugh’s place. Deb is heartbroken knowing Sutton is making the penthouse her own—the place she poured her soul into.”
Furness, who shares two adopted children with Jackman, Oscar (23) and Ava (18), reportedly believes Jackman may be rushing into a new relationship too soon. “She wants him to be happy,” the insider said. “But Hugh’s completely green when it comes to dating, and she’s concerned he’s leaping into living with someone else way too fast.”
Back in September 2023, Jackman and Furness announced their separation in a joint statement to PEOPLE, describing their split as a “shift” in their life journey, “We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”
“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
They concluded, “This is the sole statement either of us will make,” and signed off with their names.
