Jack Schlossberg has been unable to avoid a specific show that's in development. In new stories on Instagram, Schlossberg addressed the new Ryan Murphy series, "American Love Story," exploring the notorious relationship between his uncle John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, who both died tragically in a plane crash.
© Bill ClarkSchlossberg addressed the news on his Instagram stories, sharing a video of himself speaking to the camera as he was driving. "Lately, my news feed has been filled with pictures of my uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr., a great man," he said.
"For those wondering whether his family was ever consulted, or has anything to do with the new show being made about him, the answer is no, and there's really not much we can do."
Schlossberg revealed that JFK Jr. is considered a public figure, making it possible for a series to be developed about him without requiring permission from his surviving family members.
© Justin Ide/Newsmakers"I hope those making this show about him take seriously what he stood for in his life, all that he achieved in it, and that they donate some of the profits [from] what they're making to the John F. Kennedy Library," he said.
Schlossberg made it clear that he's not against the project; he just hopes that it's being made with the right intentions.

Earlier this month, Murphy shared the first official looks of the lead actors taking on the roles of Kennedy and Bessette, with Paul Kelly and Sarah Pidgeon leading the series. The cast is rounded out by Naomi Watts, playing Jackie Onassis, and Grace Gummer, playing Caroline Kennedy.
