Eiza González makes rare comment about her ex Timothée Chalamet and his girlfriend Kylie Jenner

Eiza González is looking back on a viral moment that caught everyone’s attention recently when she liked a photo of her ex, Timothée Chalamet, and his new girlfriend, Kylie Jenner.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Eiza was asked about the unexpected gesture. “You made headlines for liking a photo of Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner,” the actress read during a segment of the interview, to which Eiza responded warmly.

“I did like it. They look so cute together, they look so in love, and I’m obsessed with them," she stated. Despite their past, Eiza emphasized that she and Timothée remain supportive of each other. “I love [Timothée]. I think he’s the most talented, sweetest boy and I’m just so proud to see him thriving and doing good in his career,” she said. “We’re just good friends.”

The moment drew attention given the history between the actors. Back in 2020, shortly after Timothée’s breakup with Lily-Rose Depp, he and Eiza were spotted on a romantic getaway in Cabo San Lucas, sparking rumors of a brief but steamy relationship.

At the time, a source told People that the two “looked happy together” and “had the best time” enjoying the luxury resort. Fast forward to 2025, Timothée and Kylie made their official red carpet debut as a couple in Rome.

Eiza’s subtle Instagram "like" of that photo surprised many, as it’s rare to see an ex showing such public support. Meanwhile, insiders reveal that while Timothée and Kylie are red-carpet official, they keep their relationship relatively private on social media.

A source recently told Daily Mail that Kylie prefers to keep Timothée off her Instagram to “keep him around,” and that “he is madly in love” and focused on his career.

When it comes to Eiza's romantic life, she recently publicly declared her love for her new boyfriend, tennis star, Grigor Dimitrov, while celebrating his birthday with a sweet message.
