After months of keeping a low profile, Taylor Swift reappeared in New York City for a cozy dinner at one of her favorite Italian spots, Via Carota, in the West Village. The singer was joined by none other than actress Dakota Johnson, as well as their brothers, Austin Swift and Jesse Johnson.

Taylor seemed to be in a celebratory mood, as hours later, she announced that she regained ownership of her master recordings from Shamrock Capital, making fans excited for the latest update about her music.

The musician arrived in a stunning black floral dress, cinched at the waist with a chain and leather belt. She completed the look with strappy black stilettos, her signature red lip, and a sleek high ponytail.

Dakota complemented the vibe in a black dress topped with a leather jacket and her hair elegantly pulled up. The outing also comes after Taylor's friendship with longtime friend Blake Lively seemed to be put to the test after her unexpected involvement in the Justin Baldoni legal battle.

This outing marks her return to New York City after a several-month retreat from the public eye. Just last week, she and boyfriend Travis Kelce were spotted enjoying dinner at Harry’s in West Palm Beach, Florida, while he trained for the upcoming NFL season.

The couple also recently celebrated Mother’s Day together with Kelce’s family in Philadelphia. A source told PEOPLE earlier this year that the pair, who began dating in 2023, have been enjoying their downtime between Swift’s music projects and Kelce’s football season.

“They have been traveling nonstop and very much enjoy it,” the source said. “They are making the most of their time off together. They are hanging out with friends, too. It’s a special time for them.”

Meanwhile, Dakota was celebrating a big night of her own. The actress had just attended a glamorous Venice-inspired event in New York City, marking her new role as global brand ambassador for Italian jewelry house Roberto Coin.

Dressed in a chic Ferragamo gown, Dakota then joined Taylor and their brothers for the dinner gathering. The pair were seen having a casual conversation and enjoying their time together, laughing and enjoying their meals.
