Jennifer Lopez showed off a fresh bruise on her arm in a black-and-white photo shared to Instagram on Friday. The 55-year-old star appeared to have sustained the mark during rehearsals for the upcoming American Music Awards, where she was photographed inside a dance studio.

Not only will the New York City native perform during the show, but she’s also taking on hosting duties for the event.

"It takes a village. DANCE AGAIN #AMAS @cbstv @ParamountPlus," Lopez captioned the post, which featured her posing alongside a group of dancers in workout gear. The photos offered fans a glimpse of what to expect during her performance, with Lopez wearing a plunging black leotard paired with leggings, Nike knee pads, and white sneakers.

This latest bruise comes shortly after Lopez revealed she had suffered a facial injury earlier in May during a rehearsal for the same event. The incident was significant enough to require medical attention, but fortunately, celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Jason Diamond was available to treat her.

Lopez initially hinted at the accident in a cryptic post, sharing a close-up image of herself holding an ice pack over her reddened nose and eye.

"So this happened," she wrote. In a follow-up image, she clarified the cause, adding, "During @amas rehearsals."

Speaking to People on Friday, Lopez explained: "I hurt my nose. I hit it in rehearsal and I had to get stitches. It was fine. A few of us have gotten hurt in rehearsals. We’re doing a very high-energy athletic number so it’s, I guess, bound to happen."

Following the injury, she was seen dressed casually in gray sweats with visible swelling around her nose. While the cut could have posed a serious issue for her upcoming hosting role—and potentially her overall appearance—Lopez received timely care from Dr. Diamond.

The Hustlers actress posed next to Dr. Diamond in a photo showing a subtle smile and visible improvement in her appearance. A second close-up revealed the original bloody gash just above the bridge of her nose, slightly off-center. Dr. Diamond, known from the reality series Dr. 90210, smiled beside Lopez, who appeared almost fully recovered aside from some mild discoloration.

"Thank you for stitching me up Dr. Diamond," she wrote. "A week later and a whole lotta ice, I'm good as new."
