Shakira’s sons, Milan and Sasha, debut in adorable musical [VIDEO]

The bar for a family talent show is pretty high when your mom is a global pop icon with hips that famously don't lie. But Shakira's sons, Milan (11) and Sasha (9), just leapt over it with ease and a little rhythm during their heart-melting musical debut.

On May 8, the Let It Bea Foundation held its glitzy annual gala, a music-meets-philanthropy event backed by Sony Music Latin. The nonprofit shines a spotlight on kids and teens aged 10 to 20, giving them a stage to showcase their budding artistry as part of its Next Generation of Artists initiative.

The night was filled with young talent performing songs from the foundation's featured album. But then came the moment that stopped the show (and basically broke the internet): Shakira's sons, Milan and Sasha, hit the stage for a live performance of their track "The One."

From the Crowd to the Center Stage

They were crowded out like mini rockstars, and Milan and Sasha weren't just along for the ride. They sang, they danced, they played instruments, and they were in the official music video too. Talent clearly runs deep in this family's gene pool.

Fans, fellow performers, and VIP guests were floored by their stage presence. And front-row center? None other than Shakira herself, beaming like a proud stage mom who somehow manages to look like she's not even breaking a sweat in heels.

More than just a cute moment, the boys' performance reflects what the Let It Bea Foundation is all about: transforming young lives through music. With support from Sony Music Latin, the initiative helps kids tap into their creative potential and find their voice.

This year's event reminded us that platforms like these don't just create artists; they cultivate confidence, community, and a sense of purpose. In Milan and Sasha's case, it's a launchpad into a legacy they're already living up to.

In addition to music, in December 2024, Shakira supported Sasha's entrepreneurial debut. He launched "Bad Boyz," a men's jewelry and apparel line featuring bracelets, necklaces, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and other accessories.

Meanwhile, Shakira Had Another Iconic Moment

As if her sons' debut weren't enough mom-goals content for one week, Shakira decided to casually celebrate the 20th anniversary of "Hips Don't Lie" by throwing down a live performance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."

She reunited with Wyclef Jean, gave us peak early-2000s nostalgia, and reminded everyone that the hips still don't lie two decades later.

Fans on social media went wild, calling it "a cultural reset," "a throwback dream," and "proof that Shakira is aging in reverse."

So, in one week, she attended the Met Gala, celebrated her legendary past, championed the next generation of young artists, and passed the mic to her kids.
