Lauren Sánchez takes flight and reflects on a turbulent start to 2025 after viral White House look

Lauren Sanchez has had a busy 2025. After going viral for her amazing outfits at the inauguration, which had some haters critiquing it, she went to one of her favorite places - the skies. On Monday, the helicopter pilot shared a selfie while in the cockpit with an emotional message.

Looking outside the window, Sanchez wore a denim Chanel hat with sunglasses and a white tank top. She reflected on how the year has started, writing, "Some years start with turbulence, but that's just the wind reminding you to spread your wings." "Good to be back in the air... Here's to flying faster than we ever imagined," she continued. 

She shared the photo on her main profile grid as well, which had support from her famous friends like Eva Longoria, who double-tapped the photo, and Kris Jenner, who left three heart emojis.

 Lauren's look at the inauguration, which she attended with her soon-to-be husband, Jeff Bezos, went viral for many reasons. With many men eager to patrol women's bodies and what they wear, there were many unsolicited opinions on whether or not what she wore was appropriate for the event.

There was also a viral and awkward clip of billionaire Mark Zuckerberg staring at her that began making its rounds. Amid the "controversy," Sanchez never addressed it directly, but she did show appreciation for people on social media defending her. 

While she didn't share photos of the white look on her grid, she did share images of her look at the Starlight ball, which was a stunning gown. In the comments were many supporters, and she made sure to let them know she was reading their kind words and appreciated it. 

Among the comments she "liked" was one that read, "Honestly, the amount of negativity surrounding Lauren Sanchez’s dresses right now is so disappointing. It’s sad that in a world with so much potential for kindness, people choose to judge someone based on their clothing. What someone wears doesn’t define their character, their kindness, or the incredible person they might be. We really need to move past this shallow mindset and focus on celebrating people for who they truly are, not how they dress. Everyone deserves respect, and spreading love will always go further than criticism."
