Ben Affleck and his eldest daughter Violet shared a sweet hug after a stressful week, with Affleck having evacuated his home due to the Los Angeles fires.
Photographers captured Affleck and Violet's sweet reunion, with the two embracing at Affleck's doorstep.
Affleck wore a grey sweater, a black shirt, and some sweatpants, while Violet wore a similar comfortable-looking outfit made out of jeans and a black long-sleeve shirt. She wore an N85 face mask to protect herself from the ash and the smoke in the air and styled her hair loose and straight.
The images showed an emotional-looking Affleck, who held on to his daughter's head as the two hugged. Violet is likely to return to Yale University in the coming days, with the Spring Semester kicking off on January 13 according to the school's calendar.
Ben's emotional week in the wake of the Los Angeles fires
Over the past week, Affleck was forced to evacuate his home due to the growing Los Angeles fires. He was photographed driving away from his place and returned on Wednesday after the risk had passed. According to a source who spoke to Page Six, his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez has been consistently checking up on him to provide him with support and offer help in any way she can.
A separate source revealed that Affleck was grateful that his home was safe and that he was trying to help the people in his life who had been personally affected by the fires.
“Ben’s home is still under evacuation order, but he feels so grateful his property is safe for the time being,” said a source to the outlet this past Thursday.
“He has seen a lot of devastation, and it’s beyond tragic. … Ben is reaching out to anybody he can to help,” they concluded.
