Shakira is kicking off her year in full gear. The Colombian singer shared some photos of her new hairstyle and fitness regimen, which is meant to prepare her for her largest and most ambitious tour yet.

Various weights and lifting equipment can be spotted by her feet, suggesting she was doing plenty of squats to get ready to dance for hours on the stage.
The photos also showcased a new hairstyle that Shakira has been using for the past months, with her curly hair neatly braided in two sections. "Starting my year. Getting ready for all of you. See you at the shows!" she captioned the post.

Shakira has been teasing her show in various Instagram posts. The tour, which was delayed in the US to cope with the massive sales it inspired, has been in the making for months. "It is the most ambitious tour of my entire career, the biggest production I have had so far," she said in an interview with GQ Spain.
"Not because the public asks for it, but because I deserve it after so many years working in this world. I deserve the tour of my life. I am throwing the house out the window."
In a recent Instagram post, she showed a look at what audience members can expect, sharing some photos of herself belly dancing. "So excited with how rehearsals are going and the incredible crew we have," she captioned the post.
Shakira's "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour" kicks off this February 11th, in Brazil. Her first performances in the US begin in May, in North Carolina.
