The pop icon revealed in an Instagram post on Wednesday, December 25, that she hadn’t seen her son in two years, calling their time together the “best Christmas of my life.”
The heartwarming moment was captured in a video shared with her fans. In the clip, Jayden greets the camera with a cheerful “hello” while standing beside his mom. Britney, dressed in a festive red off-the-shoulder dress, introduces her son to her followers, affectionately calling him “my baby.” She then kisses his cheek before the video transitions to show the duo posing in front of a beautifully lit Christmas tree.
“Merry Christmas!” Britney said, with Jayden echoing her sentiment before the video panned to a cozy fireplace in the background. In the caption, the 43-year-old singer poured out her overwhelming joy. “Best Christmas of my life !!!” she wrote. “I haven’t seen my boys in 2 years !!! Jayden and his older brother Sean Preston, 19, are Britney’s son with ex-husband Kevin Federline. The former couple divorced in 2006 after three years of marriage and finalized their split in 2007. Over the years, the boys have primarily lived with their father, most recently moving to Hawaii with Federline in 2023. At the time, Britney consented to the relocation, with Federline’s attorney telling PEOPLE that she has “always faithfully supported her children and wants them to be happy.”
After a year in Hawaii, Jayden reunited with Britney Spears in Los Angeles in November 2024, according to a source who told PEOPLE the pair have been spending time together at her home. “Spending time together has made her happy,” the insider shared.
“Britney is thrilled to have her baby back,” said a second source to the outlet. “Everything is moving in the right direction.”

In 2022, Jayden participated in a rare interview where he opened up about his complicated relationship with his mother. “I 100 percent think this can be fixed.
