Shakira and Sebastian Yatra were hanging out and singing some of her songs when he began to praise her car. Next thing you knew, Shakira was revealing that she wanted to give it away to a fan, someone who "is happy in this car."
© @shakiraA few days after the video, Shakira returned to social media to confirm that she was giving away the car and that her fans would be able to participate by visiting a website.
The post was shared on November 20th, showing Shakira posing alongside her purple Lamborghini Urus 2022. "What's promised is debt!" she wrote in the post's caption. "I confirm it: I'm going to give my car away to someone who really wants it and wants to enjoy new unforgettable moments on it with the people they love the most."
She added a purple emoji and asked interested people to visit the website elcarrodeshakira.com, designed for this purpose.
Shakira revealed that no purchase is necessary to participate in the giveaway and that everyone under the age of 18 is able to participate provided they're residents of the U.S. The winner will be announced live on "Despierta America" this December 6th.

Aside from being an incredibly luxurious vehicle, Shakira shares some emotional attachment with her vehicle. In her stories, she revealed that she lived through "hard and happy" moments, where she "reflected, gathered strength, sang songs with her sons, and celebrated friendships."
“When I bought it, I got it as a present to myself as I was starting my journey as a single woman. Soon I learned that what helps us are our bonds with other people. The car, the clothes, all of the material things don't transform us. Our bonds, family, friends, and neighbors do," she revealed.
