Argentina welcomes home their World Cup-winning squad in full jubilee mode
A sea of people flooded the streets of Buenos Aires to welcome home the Argentina National Team
A sea of people flooded the streets of Buenos Aires to welcome home the Argentina National Team and the FIFA World Cup Trophy.
In full jubilee mode, the winning squad navigated through the massive crowds while cheering, singing, and immortalizing the moment by taking pictures and videos.

On Tuesday morning, local time, Captain Lionel Messi stepped off the plane holding the trophy, followed by the beloved team. Like, true heroes, they walked a red carpet and enjoyed a live music band.

Soon after, they jumped on a bus that took them from the airport to meet with the hundreds of thousands of fans expecting them on the streets of the capital.

The team got the chance to rest and was taken to the Argentine Football Association’s training ground, according to Télam.

After recharging with good sleep and food, they reunited with their fans, began the much-awaited parade, and continued celebrating Argentina’s win against France during the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

This is the first time in over thirty years that Argentinians get to flood the nation’s streets after a World Cup win.

The last time the country had the trophy was when late soccer player legendary Diego Maradona led the team to victory in Mexico in 1986.
