While the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs took the field in an explosive game at the 54th Super Bowl, the real show started when Shakira and Jennifer Lopez hit the stage during the halftime show. Marking the first time the powerhouse singer performed their hits together, the Latinas turned the show into a spectacle that will sure be hard to top. The 13-minute performance included a sweet tribute to Hector Lavoe, a guest appearance by JLo’s daughter Emme and plenty of outfit changes. Not only did JLo and the mother-of-two perform some of their greatest hits on the Super Bowl stage, Shakira also sang alongside Bad Bunny.
Shakira and Jennifer weren’t the only Latinas taking center stage during the halftime performance. They were also joined by Colombian Salsa group Swing Latino.
While the singers come from very different lives, one thing unifies them: music. Celebrating the beauty of the Latin genre, Shakira and Jlo paid a tribute to Héctor Lavoe and Willie Colón by performing to Aguanile.
Both divas made Latin - and non Latin- so proud! Incredible hits, tones of energy and good vibes turned the Super Bowl Half Time show into a fiesta hard to forget.
