Gina Rodriguez gave loyal Jane the Virgin fans a sneak peek into an upcoming Mexican-inspired makeup look. The Puerto Rican actress posted a colorful Día de los Muertos selfie showing off her sugar skull artistry. The impressive, multi-talented actress nailed it! Paying homage to the popular Mexican holiday, Gina gave thanks to her viewers, captioning the photo with, “Thanks for catching the Season Premiere of Jane The Virgin last night!”

The telenovela-inspired series is known for bridging the Latino community and our diverse traditions, and this is the proof. In the hit series, Gina’s character Jane plays a Venezuelan new mom coming into her own all while owning her Latina roots. The sugar skull makeup look showcases is an amazing example of beauty inclusivity.
