Behind every good manicure is a nail artist creating one-of-kind designs for stars like Kim Kardashian and Rita Ora. And aside from displaying their nails on the red carpet, these beauties are also showing off their too-cool talons with fans on Instagram.

Rita attended the 2014 VMAs with an uber-luxe (and super pricey!) diamond manicure, while Kim traded her formerly simple style for dramatically long nails while at Paris Fashion Week with husband Kanye West.

Even little sister Kylie Jenner is getting in on the action. She has steadily garnered a large fan base on Instagram for her daring and bold manicures, which see her rock everything from dramatically long nails with nude nail polish to polish matching her outfits. The 17-year-old particularly wowed fans after she shared a photo of a manicure which saw the tips and cuticles of her nails painted a shade of black, keeping the rest of her nails nude for a contrasting effect.

Meanwhile singer Lily Allen, who is renowned for her love of nail art and fearless approach to experimenting with different patterns and nail shapes, showed off an impressive design of florals and Japanese symbols as she prepared for a trip to Japan. The mother-of-3 also shared a photo of her metallic silver nails as she headed to Glastonbury where model Gigi Hadid was turned heads, too, with her festival-esque nail art design, teamed with a boho chic skirt for ultimate laid back cool.

Katy Perry also caused a social media during the week of the Superbowl in February, and not just because of her spectacular musical performance on the big night. The "Roar" singer shared a photo on Instagram of a particularly special pedicure which saw her toenails painted with American football patterns, and she later even themed her nails for her trip to Greece.
