Rawja of Jordan's outfits never go unnoticed. As one of the "new" royals making an impact with her fashion choices, Rawja has acquired notoriety for wearing outfits that manage to blend tradition with innovation, with gorgeous results. This is an achievement she's displayed ever since she married Prince Hussein, the son and heir of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan.

Rawja's style decisions often echo those of her mother-in-law, showcasing ethnic touches and nods to some of the world’s most prestigious luxury fashion houses. Her most recent look is a perfect example.

A stylish encounter with football

Rajwa, who married Hussein of Jordan on June 1, 2023, at a luxurious ceremony hosted at Amman’s Zahran Palace, attended an official ceremony held by the Jordan Football Association to commemorate its 75th anniversary.

There, she showcased a striking blend of contrasting styles, honoring the country’s traditions while embracing a more international concept of global luxury. Rajwa's outfit is a perfect example of a new generation entering into the world of royal customs, reflecting a boundary-pushing style that's also present in her mother-in-law, who always manages to make a statement with her outfits. Her most recent example is a look worn during her visit to the University of Jordan, where she recreated an outfit reminiscent of Princess Diana's most timeless looks.

Rajwa and Hussein's attendance celebrated the growth of Jordan's football since its inception in 1923, and the team's recent qualification for the 2026 World Cup Finals, which will be hosted in Canada, the US, and Mexico.

Tradition vs. luxury

For Rajwa’s football-related engagement, she wore a white and blue design by Eman Al Ahmed, a fashion house “where culture meets couture since 2006.”

The dress is inspired by traditional male thobes, which are long and loose garments that reach the wearer's feet. To add a modern touch and break with classicism, Rajwa paired her look with a new and famous accessory: a silver metallic Valentino bag with a short handle. Without a doubt, the end result positions Rajwa as a royal who knows how to blend various elements for a sophisticated and polished end result
