Queen Camilla is showing her support for Princess Eugenie. At the Diplomatic Corps reception hosted earlier this week, the Queen wore a luxurious item that was a slight reference to the Princess, as she faces one of the most difficult times in her life.

Queen Camilla was photographed wearing the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik tiara, an item that Princess Eugenie wore in her 2018 wedding to Jack Brooksbank. She paired it with a white Fiona Clare gown, a blue sash, and more jewelry.

This marks the first time the Queen has worn this tiara, priced at $13 million, according to InStyle. The publication explains that the tiara was designed by the French jeweler Boucheron in 1919, and it was originally owned by Dame Margaret Greville. Upon her death, she left her jewelry to the Queen Mother, with this collection passing on to Queen Elizabeth following her death.

In 2018, Queen Elizabeth lent the crown to her granddaughter, marking a special occasion in royal history and showcasing the strong bond between the Queen and Eugenie.

Queen Camilla's choice to wear the crown is a show of support for Eugenie and Beatrice, the daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, who recently lost their royal titles and privileges due to their ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

What about Eugenie and Beatrice's royal titles?

Despite the stripping of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson's royal titles, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice have been unaffected by the decision, with the two retaining their titles and royal privileges. They also continue to have the styling Her Royal Highness.

On October 30th of this year, King Charles stripped Andrew of his titles, sharing that he will now be referred to by his name and surname. He was also asked to surrender the lease to the Royal Lodge, where he's lived most of his life.

"Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease, and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him," reads the statement.

"Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse," concludes the message, making it clear where King Charles and Queen Camilla's allegiance lies.
