Lady Gaga's Mayhem Ball Tour is one of this year's most important pop culture moments. The singer is currently on tour, hosting various shows across European cities, including a performance in Amsterdam this past Sunday. For the occasion, fans were treated to the sight of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands in the stands, dancing and having a blast.

In a video recorded during the concert, the royal couple can be seen singing along to every song.

The Dutch royals didn’t want to miss the chance to see one of the most important contemporary artists,  winner of 14 Grammy Awards and praised by critics and audiences following the release of her last album, "Mayhem," a project that revisits Gaga's earlier sound and the one that brought her international acclaim.

According to De Telegraaf, no one knew the monarchs would be attending the concert, whose tickets had sold out as soon as they went on sale.

It’s not the first time Willem-Alexander and Máxima have attended a major concert, as both have proven to keep up with the music trends of younger generations. They’ve previously been spotted enjoying the music of DJ Armin van Buuren, and earlier this year, Máxima was seen singing along with the Ladies of Soul, a group formed by the singers Trijntje Oosterhuis, Edsilia Rombley, and Berget Lewis, along with saxophonist Candy Dulfer. The Queen made sure to congratulate them and visit them in their dressing room.

“How many queens can fit in one room? Strong, united, connected—the power of singing together is great, loving, and healing! Máxima in all her glory among us! That’s why we love our Queen, and our Queen loves her soul sisters. Let’s continue to empower each other to the fullest,” said one of the artists after the visit. The Queen consort joined the Dutch singers in a fun video they shared on social media.

By attending Lady Gaga’s concert, the Dutch royals once again show their versatility and unorthodox approach to their roles.

A few weeks ago, Queen Máxima was seen swapping high heels and royal events for something much grittier—literally diving into the mud. The monarch wore camouflage as she took part in a demanding training session alongside members of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee in Harderwijk.
