Meghan Markle gave her Instagram followers a glimpse at her 44th birthday celebration. The day after ringing in another trip around the sun, the Duchess of Sussex shared a snapshot from her birthday dinner held at Funke in Beverly Hills. The image shows Meghan blowing out the candles on a cake decorated with yellow flowers at the restaurant.
"Blowing out the candles on a beautiful 24 hours, and thanking my husband, friends and family for making it so special," the With Love, Meghan star captioned the picture. "To those of you I don’t know, but who send love every day - thank you so much. Please know I feel it and appreciate it ❤️."
She added, "And just to get a little foodie on you….this dinner last night at @funke_la with the culinary mastery of @evanfunke and his team is in the top five meals of my life. Extraordinary 🍝 Thank you for a standout dining experience."
Meghan turned 44 on Monday, Aug. 4. According to PEOPLE, the mom of two was going to be spending her birthday privately with Prince Harry and their kids, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.
As ever marked its founder's special day with a black-and-white photo of the Duchess in a garden. Alongside the picture, the lifestyle brand's Instagram account wrote: "Celebrating the woman behind it all. She pours her heart, vision & magic touch into every detail, and today, we raise a glass to her! Happy birthday to our founder @meghan 🥂."
