Queen Letizia is in Mallorca. After a surprise outing with her daughters to see the documentary 'En un lugar de la mente' at the Rivoli Aficine cinema in Palma, the wife of King Felipe VI took part in her first official event of the summer holiday in the Balearic Islands. On this Sunday evening, she attended the closing ceremony of the 15th edition of the Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest at the La Misericordia Cultural Center in Palma.
Queen Letizia’s signature style move
For the 2025 edition of the Mallorca Film Festival, the Queen chose a neutral tone to embody the perfect guest look, following the style approach she has taken in previous years. This time, she wore white, a smart choice that highlighted her sun-kissed summer skin. The color adorned a strategically designed midi linen dress with a corset-style waist and flattering cutouts that enhance her figure.
For shoes, she brought back her radiant gold Sundance sandals from Aquazzura, featuring a five-centimeter block heel and ankle strap. She first wore them on July 18, 2024, at the ABC Journalism Awards and later again on September 23 for the opening of the new season at Madrid’s Teatro Real. Her handbag of choice was a metallic clutch by Magrit that she already had in her wardrobe. But the standout accessories were her new earrings with a bold botanical shape in 24 karat gold-plated brass (Acacia yellow model, $349 USD) from the Índico collection. They paired perfectly with a matching bracelet (Acacia model, also $349 USD), both by Suma Cruz, a brand founded by Susana Cruz in Madrid in 2017. She also wore her signature Coreterno ring.
Past editions and her fashion tradition
For Queen Letizia, attending the closing night of the Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest has become a tradition. Since 2019, she has not missed the festival, the first online film event in Spain. Her go-to party style has been solid-color looks with an innovative twist.
In 2024, Queen Letizia debuted a stunning silver-grey dress with a bold liquid-effect finish—the Desatie model by Hugo Boss—while appearing alongside Michael Douglas at the festival held in Palma de Mallorca. She paired it with new matching silver sandals from Mango (the Gaby design), a coordinating clutch, her signature Coreterno ring, and diamond-shaped Rita earrings by Bárbara Goenaga.
In 2023, the Queen chose to bring back one of her most striking black dresses. She recycled a semi-sheer design by Uterqüe, which she paired with new golden espadrilles from Calzados Picón and a clutch featuring a large cut agate stone by Malababa. She also debuted her Helechos earrings, by Suma Cruz. She wore black again in 2022, opting for a new slip dress from & Other Stories, styled with her crystal-embellished sandals by Magrit and a beaded ethnic clutch from Mango. That year, she completed the look with oversized hoop earrings.
Skipping a dress in 2021, the Queen debuted a navy blue guest ensemble by Galcon, featuring a draped top and matching skirt. She completed the look with slingback heels by Magrit, a Carolina Herrera clutch, and zircon-studded hoop earrings from Coolook.
Back in 2019, when she made her first appearance at the festival, she also wore a coordinated set—this time in two tones, with a top and tailored trousers. Manolo Blahnik's transparent-toe pumps, a Bottega Veneta Knot clutch, and long earrings with small hoops completed her look.
