Prince George is 12! On Tuesday, the Prince and Princess of Wales' eldest child celebrated his last birthday before he officially becomes a teenager. The royal couple marked their firstborn's special day with a new photo of George. The image of the Prince with his arms cross on a fence was taken by photographer Josh Shinner earlier this year in Norfolk.
"Happy 12th Birthday to Prince George! 🎂," the message alongside the picture reads.
Hours later, Prince William and Catherine shared a video that was filmed during the same photo session as Prince George's birthday portrait. George was joined by his sister Princess Charlotte, 10, and brother Prince Louis, 7, in the video, which featured sweet moments between the Wales siblings.
Footage of Charlotte and Louis sitting on a fence, while their big brother posed next to them was included, along with footage of George and his sister carrying their little brother and another of all three of them walking hand-in-hand. The video was simply captioned: "12 today! 🎉."

Pictures of Prince William with his three kids also snapped that day were released in June for Father's Day.
George, who is second in line to the throne after his father, is the Prince and Princess of Wales' eldest child. He was born on July 22, 2013 at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London. In a statement after his birth, the palace said: "The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news."

"He's a big boy. He's quite heavy."
Meanwhile Catherine said it was "very emotional" and "such a special time." She added, "I think any parent probably could sort of know what this feeling feels like."
Nine days before turning 12, George made an appearance at Wimbledon with his parents and sister Charlotte. The Wales family, minus Louis, attended the gentlemen's singles final between Spain's Carlos Alcaraz and Italy's Jannik Sinner on July 13. Following the match, George and Charlotte met the Wimbledon Champion, Jannik, who autographed tennis balls for them.
