Social media now serves as a guide for identifying celebrity feuds, revealing hidden romances through likes and posts. Nothing evades the influence of social media. So it’s no surprise that media picked up on the controversial gesture from Natasha Archer, the right hand of Kate Middleton for over a decade, toward Meghan Markle.

After serving as Kate's personal assistant for over 15 years, the Princess of Wales' personal assistant has now confirmed her departure from Buckingham Palace, as exclusively reported by People. The end of her working relationship with the British royal family has brought a series of virtual changes—noticeable on her personal Instagram account.

Recently, Archer made her Instagram account public, and some media outlets quickly noticed that the former assistant no longer follows Markle or "As Ever," the Duchess of Sussex's food and beverage brand. According to People, Natasha did follow both accounts before leaving her role but chose to hit the unfollow button after stepping away from the royal household.

The longtime royal staffer, who over the years became both assistant and official stylist to the Princess of Wales, also used to follow several accounts linked to Meghan’s inner circle, including Daniel Martin, Delfina Blaquier, and Heather Dorak. But as of July 17, those names no longer appear on her following list.

A Royal Service

Archer became an institution of her own at Buckingham Palace. She was originally hired in 2010 as a personal assistant to Prince William and Kate but over time became a key part of the Princess of Wales’ inner circle. Beyond serving as her right hand, Archer significantly contributed to Kate's style evolution, facilitating her transition from an elegant public figure to a future queen with a distinct royal presence.

Archer took on the task of building a wardrobe fit for the role—covering intense international tours, countless royal engagements, and milestone moments like the hospital photocall after Prince George’s birth.

A Stellar Comeback

Kate Middleton made sure not to miss Wimbledon, marking her first public appearance since she skipped Royal Ascot 2025. She returned to one of the places that holds special meaning for her. As patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club since 2016, a role given to her by the late Queen Elizabeth II, Kate presided over the women's final on Saturday, July 12. The match ended with Poland’s Iga Swiatek defeating American Amanda Anisimova.

A few days later, the Princess of Wales returned once again, this time seated in the front row of the Royal Box to watch the men’s final between Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz and Italy’s Jannik Sinner, who ultimately claimed the coveted trophy after a hard-fought match. Princess Kate wasn’t the only royal in attendance. The highly anticipated final brought together Prince William, their children, and His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain, who didn’t want to miss the Murcian star in action on the grass.
