Once again the King and Queen of Spain made a standout appearance at the ABC Journalism Awards Mariano de Cavia, Luca de Tena, and Mingote in Madrid. The event, now in its 105th edition, has evolved into a sort of runway for Queen Letizia, who has garnered attention every year since her debut in 2008. From the white dress that echoed Kate Middleton’s style in 2025 to the bold multicolored sequin design she wore in 2016, Letizia knows how to make fashion headlines.

She wore a black midi-length dress that hugged her figure and stood out for its sophisticated strapless neckline, a style she does not often wear. Still, the result was a major win. She completed the outfit with matching accessories from Magrit, including a clutch and slingback pumps with a sensible heel.

To elevate the dress and highlight her neckline Queen Letizia brought back one of Queen Victoria Eugenie's historic jewels, a striking necklace made of 35 large pearls. As a historical note, it was the same piece Queen Sofía wore at the wedding of Infanta Elena on March 25, 1996, in Seville. For earrings she chose a simple diamond stud design.
