Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis had sweet words for their dad Prince William on Father's Day. The Prince of Wales received a message from his children on Sunday that was accompanied by new photos of the heir to the throne with his kids.
"Happy Father’s Day, Papa (before and after!) We love you! G, C & L 💖," the caption alongside the pictures reads. The images were taken by Josh Shinner, who has previously photographed the Wales family.Â
William was captured in one photo with his arms around Charlotte, 10, and George, 11, while Louis, 7, got a hug from his big sister. A second candid black-and-white shot showed the Prince of Wales on the ground, cuddling with his children.Â
The pictures appear to have been taken on the same day as the portraits that were released to mark Prince Louis' seventh birthday this year. Those pictures were snapped in Norfolk this past April.Â
William and his youngest child twinned in jeans and a green sweater over a collared shirt for the photos. Charlotte coordinated with them, wearing a green sweater paired with a denim skirt. George also wore a checked collar shirt like his little brother, but teamed with a zip-up vest and jeans.
The entire Wales family was out for the King's birthday parade the day before Father's Day. The Princess of Wales, who looked elegant in an aquamarine coatdress by Catherine Walker, and her kids left Buckingham Palace in the Ascot Landau carriage to Horse Guards Parade. Prince William participated in the parade, riding on horseback. The Waleses later appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with King Charles, Queen Camilla and other members of the royal family, where they watched the flypast.
Following Trooping the Colour, which marks the official birthday of the British Sovereign, the Waleses shared a family snapshot. "Another brilliant day at Trooping the Colour for His Majesty’s Birthday Parade," the image was captioned. "Thank you to everybody who came, and to all those who took part."
Last year's Trooping the Colour marked the Princess of Wales' first official public appearance of 2024. Catherine, who underwent major abdominal surgery in January of 2024, revealed in March last year that she was undergoing a course of preventative chemotherapy. Months later in September, the Princess announced that she had completed her treatment. This past January, the Princess shared, "It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focussed on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to."
