Meghan Markle made headlines with a video she shared on her daughter Princess Lilibet's birthday. The Duchess of Sussex took to her Instagram on June 4 to share a throwback video from the day Lili was born. The video shows a pregnant Meghan, dressed in a black dress and her hair up in a ponytail, dancing and twerking to "The Baby Momma Dance." Prince Harry also appeared in the video dancing in the hospital room.
"Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work - there was only one thing left to do! 😂," Meghan wrote alongside the post.
The Duke and Duchess welcomed their daughter Lilibet on June 4, 2021. King Charles' youngest grandchild, who is currently seventh in line to the throne, was born at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California. Harry and Meghan's daughter was named after her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, whose family nickname was Lilibet, while her middle name, Diana, was picked to honor the Duke's late mother, Princess Diana.
Lilibet turned 4 on Wednesday. In addition to the dancing video, Meghan marked her daughter's birthday with pictures of Lilibet on Instagram. Her first post included two mother-daughter photos, which the Duchess captioned: "Happy birthday to our beautiful girl! Four years ago today she came into our lives - and each day is brighter and better because of it. Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!"
The sweet pictures included a snapshot of Lilibet wrapped in her mother's arms on a boat and another intimate photo of Meghan holding her daughter as a newborn. Later in the day, the Duchess shared two pictures of Prince Harry with his little Princess. In the caption, the As ever founder wrote: "The sweetest bond to watch unfold 💕 Daddy’s little girl and favorite adventurer," adding, "Happy birthday Lili!"
Lilibet is the couple's second child. The Duke and Duchess become first-time parents in 2019 with the birth of their son Prince Archie. Meghan celebrated her firstborn's birthday on Instagram last month with a photo of Archie. "Our son. Our sun. Happy 6th birthday to Archie! Thank you for all of the love, prayers, and warm wishes for our sweet boy. He’s six! Where did the time go?" Meghan penned alongside the picture of Archie with his back to the camera, admiring the sun. "(And for all of you who came to celebrate with us at his party last weekend, thank you for making his birthday so incredibly special ❤️)."
