Princess Charlotte has officially joined the double digits club. The Prince and Princess of Wales' daughter celebrated her tenth birthday on Friday, May 2. A new photo of Prince George and Prince Louis' sister was released to mark to her special day.
"Happy 10th Birthday Princess Charlotte! ❤," the picture was captioned.
The image was taken by the Princess of Wales during a visit to Cumbria earlier this year. Charlotte, who was dressed in a camouflage jacket and sporting a backpack, flashed a bright smile at the camera for mother as she sat on the ground.
In the comments, Instagram users pointed out the Princess' resemblance to her father, Prince William.
"Omigoodness her father’s daughter!," one wrote. Another commented, "Happy Birthday Princess Charlotte! Looks just like her father ❤️." Someone else called Charlotte "clearly her father’s mini-me!!"
While Catherine snapped her daughter's picture this year, Prince Louis' seventh birthday photo last week was taken by Josh Shinner. A behind-the-scenes video of Louis' birthday picture, which was shot in Norfolk, was also released on April 23.
When it comes to her children's birthdays, Catherine has revealed in the past that she enjoys making a cake. "I love making the cake,” the mom of three said in 2019 on the BBC’s A Berry Royal Christmas special. “It’s become a bit of a tradition that I stay up ‘til midnight with ridiculous amounts of cake mix and icing, and I make far too much. But I love it.”
Charlotte, who is third in line to the throne, is the Prince and Princess of Wales' second child. She was born on May 2, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London. The little Princess is known to be a Swiftie. She along with her father and big brother George attended Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in London (on Prince William's 42nd birthday) last year, where they met the pop star and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
On an episode of New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce, Jason Kelce described Charlotte as "adorable." Recalling meeting the royals, Jason said, “I gotta say, Prince William was fantastic, but the highlight was Princess Charlotte. Prince George was great too. She was so f------king adorable. Like, I cannot,”
Travis agreed saying: “She was a superstar."
Jason also shared that Charlotte "had fire to her," adding, "She was asking questions. That was the most electric part.”
