The Invictus Games are returning to Canada! For the second time, the country will host Prince Harry's sporting competition for wounded, injured and sick service members and veterans. The Duke of Sussex announced in 2022 that the seventh edition of the games would be taking place in Vancouver and Whistler.

“As Invictus continues to adapt and evolve, I am extremely excited to announce that the Invictus Games Foundation has selected Canada to host the first-ever Winter Hybrid Games in 2025,” Harry said in a statement at the time. “The Invictus Games Vancouver-Whistler 2025 will offer a global platform to expand the range and profile of winter adaptive sports. With deep respect, I’m also pleased to share that the Games in Canada will be held in partnership with the First Nations, in the spirit of truth and reconciliation with indigenous communities.”

Harry founded the Invictus Games in 2014. The Duke has described the sporting event as "not just a competition," but "a way of life" and "a celebration of the human spirit." At a gala in Vancouver last year, the Duke said, “The games provide a platform for us to showcase your abilities, to inspire the world, and honour the sacrifices of those we have lost. It is a reminder that we are not defined by our injuries, but by our strength, our commitment, and our ability to overcome adversity.”

Before the games begin, here is everything to know about Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025:
