Princess shares sweet moment with grandmother: See photos of the royal grandchildren

King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden was surrounded by family on his 78th birthday. While the monarch’s youngest daughter Princess Madeleine is still living in Florida with her family, the King’s older children, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Carl Philip, and five of his grandkids were out on Tuesday to celebrate him. Princess Estelle and her maternal grandmother Queen Silvia shared a sweet moment while on the balcony. The young Princess was pictured resting her head on her grandmother’s shoulder.

Estelle is the Swedish King and Queen’s eldest grandchild.

The 12-year-old Princess is second in line to the Swedish throne, after her mom Crown Princess Victoria.

Estelle wore a long-sleeve floral dress from Malin, per Royal Fashion Police.

Brother-sister duo Prince Oscar and Princess Estelle waved from the balcony next to their parents, Prince Daniel and Crown Princess Victoria.

Princess Sofia and her three sons, Prince Alexander, Prince Gabriel and Prince Julian were also on the balcony.

Sofia shares her sons with her husband Prince Carl Philip, who is Queen Silvia’s second child.

The Swedish King was surrounded by members of his family at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. His Majesty turned 78 on April 30.

Missing from the balcony were Princess Madeleine, her husband Christopher O’Neill and their three kids, Prince Nicolas, Princess Leonore and Princess Adrienne. The family of five’s move to Sweden was postponed last year.
