 Queen Maxima  and  King Willem-Alexander ’s daughters Princess Catharina-Amalia, Princess Alexia and Princess Ariane were looking grown up during their family’s ski holiday in Lech, Austria. Amalia also showed off a new look as the Dutch royals posed against the scenic mountain backdrop on February 25 for their annual winter photocall, which is one of two yearly photo opps that the royals partake in with the press. As part of a media code established in 2005, the Dutch royals pose for photos once in the summer and at the beginning of their skiing holiday, and in return the media respects their privacy outside of royal engagements. Maxima and her brood appeared to be in high spirits as they hit the slopes showing off their ski skills in between silly family moments. Scroll through for the best photos…

Queen Maxima’s daughters have certainly grown up since their last photo call​ . Amalia, 16, is just as tall as her mother, while Alexia, 14, is quickly catching up.

According to Royal Central, Maxima and Willem-Alexander’s daughter Alexia accidentally dropped an f-bomb after she dropped her ski poles while going up the ski lift.

A new look for the future Queen

Princess Catharina-Amalia showed off a new look as she hit the slopes...gold hoop earrings! It seems the heir apparent to the Dutch throne, who turned 16 in December , has pierced her ears since last year.

The future Queen planted a sweet kiss on her father’s cheek during a playful moment on February 25.

King Willem-Alexander and his family were joined by his mother, former Queen Beatrix, as well as his brother Prince Constantijn and his wife Princess Laurentien and their three children, Countess Eloise, Count Claus-Casimir and Countess Leonore.
